Soccer is a physically demanding sport that requires strength, speed, agility and endurance. Unlike many team sports, soccer players sometimes play the entire 45 minutes of each half without a substitution. During this time, the athlete is continuously moving, running, jumping and sprinting. Studies have shown that the average soccer player can run upwards of 7 miles per game. Without proper fueling, soccer players will not be able to maintain a high level of performance. When a soccer player has not been eating properly, or hydrating adequately it becomes obvious within a short period of time. Fischer Wins Swiss National Championships

We want to congratulate Thomas Fischer, Summit, NJ, for winning the Swiss National Freestyle Championships at 46kg. The Cadet put up a dominate performance winning each of his matches by technical fall, including an outstanding 12-0 performance in the finals. With this performance Thomas puts himself in position to be selected to compete at the Cadet European Championships in July located in Sarajevo on July 24th-30th. In addition to being a Swiss National Champion, Thomas is a New Jersey youth state place-finisher and a 2016 Italian National Champion. Congratulations Thomas and keep up the hard work!
